Erste Camper warten auf das iPhone

Immer wenn ein neues Tech-Gadget erscheint, warten Camper geduldig auf das neue Produkt. Das ist beim iPhone genau gleich. Ein Video über die ersten Camper.

Greg Packer heisst der erste "iPhone Camper" an der 5th Avenue in New York. Er wartet dort seit Montag Morgen auf das am Freitag erscheinende iPhone. Und natürlich ist er nicht alleine. Es haben sich auch schon zwei weitere iPhone Freaks zu ihm gesellt.

Im heutigen Web 2.0 Zeitalter wird auch live vor Ort über das "iPhone Abenteuer" berichtet. So hat vor kurzem einer der Camper seine Packliste für den Aufenthalt vor dem Apple Store veröffentlicht:

1 bottle sun-tan Lotion
1 bottle water
1 pint orange juice
1 cup of coffee
1 lawn chair (on loan from Mr. Greg Packer)
1 pair sandals, black sneakers & 4 pairs of socks
4 disposable razors, shaving cream, etc. (showering/shaving)
1 blues harmonica
1 copy of "Mastering the SAP Business Information Warehouse"
1 nice digital camera w/ dead battery
1 cell phone that doesn't hold its charge
1 uncharged 3G iPod
1 credit card
Enough cash to tide me over until Friday

Der Witz an der ganzen Sache ist, dass Greg gar kein wahrer Apple Fan ist. Der pensionierte Single hat keinen iPod, kein Mac; er will einfach mal schauen wie das iPhone funktioniert.

Von noneck.org gibt es auch eine kleine Videoreportage über die Camper.
